Ray is an experienced professional in the Research and Development Tax Credit industry. His engineering experience is invaluable while dealing with a multitude of companies and ethically analyzing their R&D Tax Credit. Ray’s R&D credentials include dealing directly with “C” level executives from mid to large sized companies all over the United States in nearly every industry including many sectors of Software Development, National Security and Defense, and Architecture & Engineering. Ray’s vast experience also includes working with high tech manufacturing firms including aerospace, medical, oil and gas services, metal & plastics fabrication as well many other high tech manufacturers. He specializes in engineering with an emphasis on infrastructure and has over 30 years of experience with Architectural, Civil Engineering, Land Planning/Development, Land Surveying, Environmental Assessments, Construction, Soils Analysis, and Traffic design. As an integral member of the R&D team Ray is responsible for planning, implementing, defending, and assisting with R&D analyses and ensuring the highest level of quality for our clients. This includes significant involvement throughout each phase of the project and ensuring our client receives deserving credits.
Ray has a Bachelor of Science degree from Park University and was an engineering teacher at the Army Corps of Engineer Schools in Fort Leonardwood, Missouri. Ray has worked with private Civil Engineering firms as a Design Engineer on multiple public works projects, private developments, commercial sites and buildings, state highways/roads and bridges giving him an edge to understanding the details that go along with Engineering. This invaluable experience adds to the level of precision in which credits are collected by our team for IRS qualification.
AnneMarie offers over 8 years’ experience specializing in the 179d EPAct Tax Deduction Certification Process. She processes the energy model and performs the onsite surveys for hundreds of projects personally and oversees nearly 2,000 Certifications. She attended Eastern Michigan University majoring in Computer Aided Design in Manufacturing. She then utilized the CAD knowledge in the Architectural industry. From there, she applied these skills to the process for 179D and Cost Segregation Studies. With a passion for her work in Tax Incentives, AnneMarie continues to evolve with the ever-changing industry.
Sean has over 16 years of R&D tax credit experience with Deloitte, Grant Thornton, RSM McGladrey, Black Line Group and BYGH, and has led more than 750 R&D Tax Credit projects. He has worked with clients ranging from start-up organizations to Fortune 100 companies within the following industries: Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Public Utility, Manufacturing, Medical Devices, Financial Services, Banking, Software, Aerospace, Automotive, Medical, and Pharmaceutical. Sean has extensive experience with federal and state audit defense and has guided clients through more than 25 field exams, appeals exams and appeals remediation cases.
Gary has over 30 years combined experience in large corporations and a Big Four CPA firm. He has experience in financial analysis, acquisitions, accounting, auditing, management reporting, and tax issues, including work on R&D tax credits as large as $2M per tax year. Gary has worked for some the largest companies in Alabama. Gary started his career as a CPA with KPMG in St. Louis and attended Bentley University with a B.A. in Accounting.
Vikki Johnson has had over 12 years of public accounting tax experience with KPMG LLP and Grant Thornton providing tax compliance and advisory services to a variety of businesses. For the last 10 years, Vikki has specialized in serving small, large, and mid-sized companies to help them identify, quantify, and substantiate Research and Development Tax Credits.
Her experience with the R&D Tax Credit includes Architect and Engineering firms, manufacturers of chemical products, oil and gas products, oil and gas exploration research, production, robotics manufacturers, construction equipment manufacturing, and software development for advertising, manufacturing, and banking, as well as internal-use software for manufacturing, airline, and retail companies.
Vikki is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Texas, and received her B.S. in Accounting from the University of Texas at Dallas.
Paula has six years’ experience in Human Resources and Office Administration. She attended Florida State University, graduating with a degree in Human Resource Management. She then worked for non-profit agencies, overseeing their employment needs, as well as coordinating procurement, before joining Corporate Tax Advisors. In her free time, she has volunteered with local schools and Girl Scouts.
Lydia graduated from Texas Tech University with a dual Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Finance. She worked 5 years at Ernst & Young in their downtown Dallas, TX branch. Lydia is currently a Research and Development Consultant for Corporate Tax Advisors in Huntsville, Alabama. She is also a Special Enrolled Agent, licensed by the U.S. Treasury to practice before the Internal Revenue Service in all of our nation’s tax arenas.
